A Year On The Yorkshire Steam Railways

Winter should signal closure, but it's as busy as ever.

Series 1
Autumn signals the time for restoration projects and prestige events, which include the Steam Gala and War Weekend. The team have their hands full on both fronts, and that even includes boss Chris! The task to hire in several locos from around the country for the gala proves difficult enough, and then things go awry mid-ga...
Temperatures rise in more ways than one as the team try and cope over the school holidays, the busiest time of the year. They have to keep the gold timetable running to ensure long-term survival, which means running 16 services a day. A breakdown threatens those plans, but some quick-thinking by Piglet comes to the rescue.
The railway's Spring opening is to be marked by a run of the celebrity engine 'Royal Scot', but technical and organisational problems soon hamper Chris's best-laid plans. Can they be fixed in time before the VIP guests arrive and the steam train paparazzi begin clicking the cameras?
