Darrell suggests a midnight feast in the stables under the cover of darkness, but it doesn’t go to plan. Meanwhile, sixth former Mavis discovers Irene’s musical talents.
Gwen is outraged when she is tricked into signing up for the lacrosse team. However, it is short-lived when she discovers Mary-Lou is out of sorts and needs her help.

Darrell is shocked to discover Lily’s plans and needs to act before Malory Towers is lost forever, while Gwen finds out Ron is joining the army and has to consider her own future.
Gwen is furious with her father when he puts her future plans in doubt, but she is shocked when she finds out the truth. Meanwhile, Jo believes Malory Towers now belongs to Lily.

The girls welcome Bill and her horse Thunder to Malory Towers. However, Bill’s place in the third form is under threat when she is accused of spending too much time in the stables.

Felicity is on track to win the cross country race, but when she fails to cross the finish line, Darrell fears the worst and goes in search of her - with dramatic consequences!
The girls rally behind Susan when her mother announces she will be leaving. Clarissa and Ruth have a plan but soon find themselves in hot water with Miss Grayling.
June is horrified to learn that Mr Murray is planning to chop down the Malory Oak Tree to try and find a hidden chamber beneath it.
