The Great Escaper is a TV show on BBC2. Based on the true story of Bernard Jordan, an 89-year-old veteran of the D-Day landings, who in 2014 sneaked out of his seaside care home where he lived with his wife, Rene, to board a cross-channel ferry and attend the 70th anniversary commemoration in Normandy. The program has been available since 2025. A total of 1 episode was broadcast in December 2025.
